How to Engage with your Digital Audience

The issue many entrepreneurs and business owner’s face, is they either don't have the time to engage with their digital audience, they’re embarrassed by the thought of putting themselves out there or they just don’t know what to do. Sound familiar?

In this digital age the majority of content people consume is online.

So, if you’re not online yet as your business, this is your sign to make the switch, and understand that it is vital to your future business success that you do. Even if you own a brick-and-mortar store, creating a website or social media account is the best way to create new traffic and keep your regular visitors updated.

There are many ways to you can interact with your audience online to keep them engaged with your product or services, I’ve listed a few below, check them out.

The Importance of Blogs

Has your website gone quiet? Not attracting any new customers or clientele? When was the last time you provided new content for your audience to interact with?

Are those crickets I hear?

One surefire way to introduce both new and old traffic back into to your website is through a regular blog. The more consistent you can make it the better.
A blog is the voice of your website and if you want to keep your viewers engaged and coming back, then you need to have a steady stream of fresh and engaging information to provide them.
That’s where a blog comes in handy.

I recommend blogging at least once a week, to engage with your audience. You may not have the time which is understandable, so even once a fortnight or once a month can prove beneficial. But know if you want high-engaging copy to help you convert traffic and help you rake in sales, 1-3 blogs a week are what most high converting businesses provide their digital audiences.

Remember one is better than none.

The Importance of Emails

Temptation is a powerful thing.
How many times have you been flicking through your emails and a photo or headline stops you in your tracks. It piques your interest. It tells you something amazing, but not quite enough... just a taste so you are compelled to find out more.

Tell me, when was the last time you wrote an email with that kind of power?

It might seem obvious, but did you know there is an astonishing rate of businesses who fail to engage with their clientele using emails.
They lack the time, the marketing knowhow or they don’t get the response they were hoping for, so they give up.

But what they need to understand is that patience and consistency is key. Just because you aren’t getting immediate results, doesn’t mean you won’t get results eventually.

Do your emails tell a story? Do they tempt their audience to want to learn more? If you're taking your business seriously then emailing should be near the top of your marketing arsenal and if done right, emails can generate leads and sales for your business.

Emails are the best way to stay in touch with people who have already visited your site and if you are looking to make a sale then it’s important that the content presented is compelling.

After all, your audience subscribed to your mailing list for a reason. Remind them why, again and again, do it better each time.

Those sales will come.

The Importance of Social Media

Social media has taken the world by storm and for the majority of people it is a way to interact with the world around them without having to leave the comfort of their own homes. They can socialise, learn new things and even earn money, so it makes sense that you should be using it to drive sales for your business.

Regular social media content is an excellent way to keep your potential clients and customers informed of all of your latest news, events and updates.

What many business owners don’t understand is that social media is an invaluable way to market their business. They don’t need to pay big money on advertisements hoping that it will fix all of their problems. Some time and effort spent everyday on their social media is all it takes.

With the world becoming more engaged online, social media gives you the opportunity to be more present in the lives of others then ever before. With the ability to target prospects from the comfort of their own homes.

Which social media will suit you best will depend on you and your business’ needs.

Remember your audience follow you for who you are and what you offer, so don’t be afraid to be you. People connect with real genuine people. Use that to your advantage. Talk to them. Show them what is going on in your life. Allow them to connect and engage with you.

The Importance of Time

Are your emails being ignored? Have you written amazing social media content but your clientele are just not engaging?

Tell me... What's the time Mr Wolf?

Time can make an enormous difference when it comes to engaging with your clientele and can vary greatly depending on who you're targeting and what your business is for.

What time of day does your clientele check their emails? What time will they be free for a quick phone call? When do they scroll through their social media?

To market to a targeted audience, you need to slip into their mindset.
You want your pitch to be at the front of your customers minds when it would prove most beneficial to them, not only when you get around to it.

Scheduling content is a great way, to make sure it is being seen at the right time and by the right people.

There are many ways to engage with your digital audience some easy, others perhaps a little harder. But if you can implement a little of all of them into your regular rescheme, then your audience will grow, and so will your sales.
